1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how InstantBill handles information when you use our mobile application.
InstantBill is a billing, invoice, quotation, GST, stock, and business management app designed to help users create and manage business records on their mobile device.
2. Data Collection
InstantBill does not collect, upload, sell, or store user business data on our servers.
The information entered by the user is stored locally on the user's mobile device for app functionality.
3. Information Stored Locally on the Device
Users may enter and store the following information inside the app:
- Business name, address, phone number, email, GSTIN, bank details, and UPI details
- Client or customer details such as name, phone number, address, and GSTIN
- Invoice, quotation, tax, payment, and PDF invoice details
- Saved item or product details
- Stock and inventory details, if enabled
- Vendor details, if vendor management is enabled
- App settings and backup files created by the user
Local Storage: This data remains on the user's mobile device unless the user chooses to share it, export it, create a backup, or send it through another app.
4. How the App Uses Locally Stored Data
InstantBill uses locally stored data only to provide app features, including:
- Creating tax and non-tax invoices
- Creating quotations
- Saving clients and items
- Generating and saving PDF invoices
- Sharing invoices through WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, email, SMS, or other apps
- Managing GST, payments, stock, vendors, reports, and business settings
- Backup and restore, if the user chooses to use those features
5. Data Sharing
InstantBill does not automatically share user data with third parties.
Users may choose to share invoices, quotations, reports, payment reminders, or app invite messages through installed apps such as WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, email, SMS, or other sharing apps.
When users share data through another app, the selected third-party app handles that shared content according to its own privacy policy.
6. WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and Android Share Sheet
InstantBill may open WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, email, SMS, or the Android share sheet only when the user chooses to share content.
InstantBill shares only the content selected or generated by the user, such as invoice text, payment reminder text, PDF invoices, or app invite messages.
7. Permissions
InstantBill may request permissions required for app functionality, such as:
- Storage or file access, to save, export, share, or back up PDF invoices and app data
- Notification permission, if reminders, alerts, or low stock notifications are enabled
- Internet permission, if future online features, updates, support, or cloud backup features are added
Permissions are used only to provide the relevant app features.
8. Backup and Restore
If users create backups, the backup file may contain business profile details, client details, item details, invoices, quotations, payments, stock details, vendor details, and app settings.
Backup files are created and controlled by the user. Users should store backup files safely and avoid sharing them with unauthorized persons.
InstantBill is not responsible for loss of data caused by device damage, app uninstall, accidental deletion, or loss of backup files.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to keep app data secure within the device. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Users should protect their device with a screen lock and keep backup files secure.
10. Data Deletion
Because InstantBill stores user-entered data locally on the user's device, users can delete their data by:
- Deleting records inside the app, where available
- Clearing app data from Android settings
- Uninstalling the app
- Deleting backup files manually from the storage location where they were saved
11. Children's Privacy
InstantBill is intended for business and professional use. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Third-Party Services
InstantBill currently does not collect user business data on our servers.
If third-party services such as analytics, crash reporting, ads, cloud backup, online sync, or payment services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what data is collected, used, shared, or stored.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
